iPFRR17 Early Career Researcher Travel Bursaries

We are excited to announce that iPFRR17 will be offering a limited number of travel bursaries to support early career researchers to present their findings at iPFRR17.

** Deadline extended to 19th February 2017 **

Three awards of $1000 (AUD) will be on offer to international delegates, and one award of $500 (AUD) to an Australian-based delegate.  This award is for early career researchers whose submitted abstracts are accepted for presentation at iPFRR17.  Funds are intended to be put directly towards costs associated with attending iPFRR17 in Australia (e.g. airfares, accommodation, registration).

For the purpose of this award, an early career researcher is someone who is currently enrolled in a research higher degree (e.g. PhD, MPhil), or no more than 2 years post-PhD conferral.

Awards will be offered on the basis of scientific merit and the need for travel support.

Applicants are asked to provide a short (max 300 words) statement outlining how this award would help them to attend iPFRR17.  They should also provide an itemised budget for their travel to iPFRR17, and justify the cost of each item.  Applicants must acknowledge any existing funding support for iPFRR17 (e.g. University funds, supervisor contributions).

To apply, please complete the application form (available from the link above), and submit with a copy of your submitted abstract to ipfrr2017@gmail.com.  Please also submit evidence of your early career status (e.g. letter from supervisor confirming student status; PhD letter of award with conferral date).

Applications close 19th February 2017.  Award winners will be notified in March 2017, after abstract notification to authors.

Please forward any questions to ipfrr2017@gmail.com.
