Professor Jill Cook leads the research into tendon injury at the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre (LASEM) at La Trobe University. Specifically, her team investigates tendon pathology, treatment options and risk factors for tendon injury. The studies that are currently being conducted include those in tendon pain (Achilles, patellar, gluteal, hamstring, elbow), de Quervains and the plantar fascia. Targeted rehabilitation, patient and clinician education, and dissemination of research findings form the cornerstone of this research group. Jill Cook is also an integral researcher in La Trobe’s partnership with the Australian Ballet.
